Battlefield 2042 launch was nothing short of a disaster, and Electronic Arts (EA) is reportedly not taking any chances with their upcoming game. The next game in the series, Battlefield 6 is reportedly having the biggest playtest in order to snuff out any issues that can potentially lead to another botched launch next year.

As per a report from Insider Gaming, playtests are taking a lot more than the last few released and the feedback collected is reportedly the most Battlefield franchise has seen in its history. Furthermore, the upcoming game is said to be taking the “player first” approach.

In a previous interview with IGN, EA’s Vince Zempella confirmed a lot of things, stating that the game is going back to its roots and the time it was fun. He teased the return of 64-player maps, a class-based system and a lot more promises to the community.

EA working to bring the Battlefield fans want?

According to the reports, the company seems to be working on that part to finally bring out what the majority of the player base wants. At the moment, Battlefield might be the only franchise that can compete with Call of Duty, and the fight is not even close at the moment.

The upcoming Battlefield game has six development studios working on the game. These are DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect. With so many resources in one game, EA is looking to do its best to bring back lost faith from fans, and the report does seem like a step in the right direction.

The projected release date for the game is 2025, but it can change. There are several big releases next year, including GTA 6. It is unlikely that any game would want to release around the most anticipated game, but fans will have to wait and see.
