Ubisoft has released an update for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, one of the popular entries in the series. The contents of the update include 4K and 60 fps support for Xbox Series X, PS5, and the PS5 Pro. For the Xbox Series S, 4K isn’t available, but the user can still enjoy 60 fps in 1080p.
“Assassin's Creed Syndicate can now run at a smooth 60 frames per second on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, thanks to a free patch out now for the console versions. Additionally, players on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PS5 Pro can experience the spectacle of Victorian London in full 4K resolution at 60 FPS,” the official announcement revealed.
Originally released back in 2015, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is set around the Industrial Revolution in 1868. The game features an immersive open-world with several approaches to the quest and dynamic combat, making it one of the beloved entries in the series.
The game was capped at a much lower resolution at 900p on release and also had a 30 fps cap and was long due for an upgrade. With next-gen hardware, players can now push its limit to 4k. Sadly, the only console that is left behind is the Xbox Series S. The update size for Xbox is 31.8 GB, while PS5 users will only need a 750 MB patch.

No 4K for Xbox Series S
At the moment, the reasoning for not bringing 4K for the Series S is unknown, but the first presumption by everyone will most likely be hardware limitations. Take-Two CEO did say that they are not worried about GTA 6’s performance on the Series S, but an almost decade-old game not running in 4K can get some fans worried.
Speaking of Assassin’s Creed games, Ubisoft is also working on the Animus Hub, which is said to be the one-stop for everything Assassin’s Creed. Recently, there were speculations about a subscription model inside the Animus Hub, but it was clarified by Ubisoft that there are currently no such plans.
