Red Bull’s junior team VCARB's driver Yuki Tsunoda was blocked from entering the United States of America for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The young Japanese driver was stopped by the border control authorities and almost denied entry into the US for the race. The driver has already raced in the country twice this year for the Miami Grand prix and the United States Grand Prix.
Border control in the United States is very strict and after Donald Trumps Presidential victory it became even more strict for outsiders visiting the country. Yuki Tsunoda was taken for a discussion by the customs officers. He said, “Luckily, they let me in after a couple of discussions. Well, a lot of discussions, actually. But yeah, I nearly got sent back home. Everything is all good, so I’m here now.”
The VCARB driver was left stranded for 2-3 hours in the airport which he felt very strange as he frequently travelled to the country and had a valid visa. The 24-year-old driver recently entered the USA for a promotional event along with Max Verstappen, Liam Lawson and Sergio Perez and even drove an Indy car.

Yuki is also very scared of saying anything more as he feels he will have more trouble speaking about the issue. He wanted to call the Red Bull team and Formula 1 for his aid but was not allowed by the authorities. The border authorities didn't believe Yuki Tsunoda was an F1 driver as he was wearing casual Pyjamas when entering the country.
In the USA, racing culture is very different compared with other countries. They already have a perception of a race car driver and Yuki Tsunoda is really not looking like one. He is very cute for a race car driver.
The customs officers grilled Yuki Tsunoda for almost 3 hours and then allowed him. In the conversation they even asked about his salary for a race and also other activities he does when racing. We are happy that Yuki Tsunoda will be available for the Las Vegas Grand prix as he is very important to the team in terms of constructors championship points.
