John Cena, the 16-time WWE Champion, has spoken up about who he considers to be the greatest wrestler of all time. According to Cena, Roman Reigns is the greatest wrestler of all time in WWE. In a recent Club Shay Shay interview, John Cena hailed Roman Reigns as the greatest wrestler of all time. Cena emphasized Reigns' extensive experience in the main event role and highlighted his important contribution to WWE's expansion throughout the previous 12 years.
Cena made this statement while chatting on the Club Shay Shay podcast. He stated, "In 2012, the stock was traded for $11. WWE/TKO stock is currently valued at $117. "That is on his shoulders; there is no better indication," Cena stated. Also, this is not the first time John Cena has referred to Roman Reigns as the best of all time.
While Roman Reigns is a six-time WWE Champion, Cena has ten more championship victories, totaling 16 in his 22-year tenure with WWE. However, after Cena left for Hollywood, Vince McMahon attempted to establish Reigns as the company's face. From 2005 until 2014, Cena commanded the WWE and served as its face.

That being said, Roman Reigns was first signed by WWE in 2013 as a villain then changed to a babyface a year later. But the plan of action didn't turn out to be successful. The Big Dog could only hear jeers from the crowd as the WWE Universe turned its back on Reigns.
WWE creatives made a pitiful attempt and failed to advance Roman Reigns to the position of top babyface from 2015 to 2018, but the attempt was unsuccessful. Even when Reigns defeated his cousin The Rock to win the Royal Rumble in 2015, the WWE audience disapproved of him.

The actual shift occurred in 2020 when Reigns teamed up with Paul Heyman upon his return to SummerSlam. The Bloodline storyline elevated Reigns' status in WWE, and he was well-liked by the fans. And when he reappeared as a babyface at SummerSlam 2024, the fans went crazy for him, pushing the video over 100 million views. Triple H has accomplished what Vince McMahon failed to do: elevate Reigns to the status of one of WWE's most prominent faces.
At SummerSlam 2021, the Cenation leader faced Reigns and lost. That was the final time Cena met The Big Dog in WWE. Perhaps Cena will join Reigns in the ring for the final time on his retirement tour next year.
