Valve makes Dust2 changes (Image - Valve)
A most recent patch note for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) developers, Valve announced a short list of changes. The most notable one of being on Dust2 and NaVi JL finally getting his 2024 Copenhagen Major trophy along with the rest of the teams.
Dust2 has been one of the most famous/infamous maps in CS. It is one of the oldest and one of the most played maps, while player complaints also dub it the map with most of the cheaters in CS2. The map was removed from the active duty pool back in 2022 during the time of CSGO and replaced by Anubis.

CS2 Dust2 changes
The map was recently added back, replacing the overpass and while nothing much had changed apart from the visuals from Source 2, the most recent patch has made changes to A short Crates. This will allow players to boost themselves up on A short without anyone’s help.
On paper, the change is nothing big, events the patch notes read, “Modified crate stack outside CT spawn towards bombsite A”. However, this will remove the requirement for two players to boost for A short and allow the A long player to reach the double door on time, while also allowing the one going for A short hold extra time to better position themselves. As usual, there has been criticism from a few players asking for several other changes like new game modes and operation. However, many others were relieved that players can self-boost, others were reminiscing about the time they needed to ask for a boss which was a day ago while a few others were admiring jL’s major trophy.
Alongside Dust2, Nuke saw clipping adjustments while two community maps, Assembly and Memento, were updated to the latest version. London now also has an official game server.
