Oleksandr ‘Smile’ Kostyljev is one of the most popular Counter-Strike players who boasts a long list of achievements and while the world watches their favourite pros switch and dominate CS2, simply decided to take some time off.

Now, responding to popular CS analyst ‘Thorin’, Simple has once again teased his return to competitive Counter-Strike. In a recent tweet by bo3 gg who revealed predictions made by popular names in the CS community on the Euro Final between Spain and England, the outlet wrote Simple’s prediction for Spain.

Simple responded, saying he was betting on England, but his heart supports Spain. This is where Thorin responded and after some small exchange, he asked, “When are you coming back?” to which Simple responded, “That’s a bit hard question, hopefully soon”.

Fans once again started speculating about the return of ‘Simple the Undertaker’ with many expressing their desire to see him play for another organization. He is currently the sixth man for NaVi.

Why is Simple absent from CS?

Since its launch, CS2 and its developer Valve have faced criticism from a lot of people and pros regarding the state it launched. Although the story of fans complaining was something similar to the release of CSGO back in 2012, many claim it is much worse.

Simple was also among the ones from the complaining side and announced that he would be taking a break from competitive Counter-Strike for the time being. This was also the time of a major roster shake-up for his team NaVi who saw AleksiB, wonderful, iM and JL join bit. Over time, the game got relatively better and fans have seen some major updates, including new and returning maps.

However, everyone was wondering when would the GOAT of CS return. During the HLTV awards, Simple entered with an announcement, but it was regarding his new course for CS2. Another interaction at the PGL Major for CS2 with James Banks saw Simple finally talk about his break and say he plans to return soon.

Following that, he did make a brief return and to everyone’s surprise, it was with Team Falcons and was a temporary return for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. This time also the player answered with soon, however, fans hope it will be for real this time.
