Legendary Counter-Strike player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has now released his course for Counter-Strike 2 called ‘Play Like S1mple’, aimed to teach players how the best players in the world play the game.
The course comes in collaboration with FACEIT and the sign-up website is now live. Players can even get the first three for free, just by signing up. They can further become a paid member to receive the full course containing over 55 videos with all personal game knowledge simply acquired playing CS.
It was a given that the course would receive a lot of traction when it was initially announced, and there is a good reason why so many players would want to sign up and learn from the best. S1mple currently holds the highest MVP awards in Counter-Strike and hasn’t even started with CS2.
The response, however, was so overwhelming that it crashed the website. Official X account for Play Like S1mple wrote, “We thought we were ready for the number of people who would want to join Play Like S1mple, but there are just too many of you. We're fixing everything right now, so soon you'll get your emails. Stay tuned!”
Play Like S1mple was in the making even before CS2 was announced, as per s1mple. The shift to CS2 only added a little more delay, as some of the things changed with the new game. The release of CS2 also saw the player taking a break from the professional CS scene due to personal reasons, which many initially believed was to work on the course.
More to come
These initial lessons are not the only thing s! people have in store for everyone. The CS pro has revealed that there is another part to this course that is yet to be revealed. He had previously mentioned personal tournaments and opportunities to play with him, which could be coming soon.
Paid members will also get FACEIT premium and judging by the partnership, the personal lessons might take place in FACEIT matches where s1mple can guide players' lives, but we will need to wait and see what’s coming.
