Michael Schumacher’s daughter Gina recently married her partner Ian Bethke in a privately held marriage ceremony where many rumours claim Michael Schumacher attended the wedding for the first time in 11 years. The Marriage ceremony was held at a plush 27 million euro villa in Mallorca. Only close family and friends like Michaels's brother Ralf Schumacher and son Mick Schumacher attended the wedding. Guests were not allowed to carry any smartphones or cameras as the family wanted some privacy for the 7-time world champion.
Michael had a life-changing devastating accident while Skiing in December 2013. He was in Coma until late June 2014. Since then he has been kept under careful protection by his family and outsiders are not allowed to see Schumacher.
Even Schumacher’s first manager Willi Weber was not invited to the wedding. He is 82 years old and he said even if they invited him he wouldn't have gone there considering his age. But the former manager has slammed Schumacher's daughter for dropping his father's surname as Gina Changed her name from Gina Schumacher to Gina Bethke.

'Schumacher name is a brand'- Willi Weber
He said, “Why would you just drop such a big name? I don't understand it! Giving up a name like that. It's a brand. It's connected to her father. I wouldn't have done that. But that's her decision! The other is my opinion." Gina however maintains her father's name in many areas. She is still keeping her Instagram name as 'Gina Schumacher'. In a recent event, Gina participated in an equestrian tournament in Texas where she gave the name ‘Gina Schumacher Bethke’.
As Willi Weber says Michael Schumacher is a brand well-known around the globe and dropping that name would be unfortunate for Gina. But at the same time, he also respects her point of view and agrees with the decision she has taken in her marriage life.
