Legendary Formula 1 driver and one of the all-time greats, Michael Schumacher was publicly seen after a decade in Spain. Michael had a tragic Skiing accident on 29 December 2013 after his Formula 1 retirement. He was in a coma for several months and he was kept away from the media for almost a decade. Many tried to reach Michael but no one was allowed near him.
First public appearance for Schumacher in a decade
After 11 years of exile, Schumacher is finally out publicly for his daughter Gina-Maria’s wedding in Spain. His daughter, who is 27 years old, married her partner Lain Bethke last Saturday. Only a few guests were invited, and nobody was allowed to take their smartphones with them.
Michael’s daughter bought the wedding villa in 2017 for 27 million euros from Real Madrid President Florentino Perez. Schumacher's brother Ralf and son Mick Schumacher also attended the wedding. This may not be Michael's only appearance, as we will see Mick and his girlfriend's wedding in the near future.
Michael Schumacher was involved in a skiing accident and after that details of him and his health condition are kept a secret by his wife Corinna. Only a few trusted friends and well-wishers were allowed to visit him.
The German F1 legend went skiing in 2013 when he had an accident. Doctors said wearing a helmet saved MIchaels life seeing the nature of the accident. He was in a coma for several months till June 2014. German media outlets say Michael is paralysed and cannot speak.
Media outlets are very eager to know the condition of the former world champion. Three men were arrested this year by the German police for blackmailing the Schumacher family by threatening to release private photos and videos showing Michael's condition. They demanded 15 million euros from the Schumacher family.
