Shortest reigning world champion? Drama on Night two as Drew McIntyre beats Seth Rollins, only to get cashed in by Damian Priest in WrestleMania XL

The night two of WrestleMania XL started with a banger. The night started with the match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre which turned out to be a good one. Drew wasted no time to make an impact in the match. The Scottish warrior started the match with a clay more. However, Rollins kicked out and survived. The match aimed at delivering a quick result. It was visible in the way both wrestlers went about the business.

Seth Rollins delivered the curb stomp which was kicked out on two by McIntyre. Later in the match, Drew delivered three more clay mores. However, the resilience from Seth was great to see. Despite having a sore back and an injured knee, Rollins was determined to fight as much as left in his tank. The visionary indeed put on a show.

McIntyre had the advantage given he was match fit. The Scottish warrior got everything he asked for as he delivered the fifth clay more of the night and won the match. For the first time in his career, Drew won the world title in front of a live audience. Little did he know that his moment of glory would be a short lived one. 

Damian Priest cashes in Money in the bank contract

Throughout the match, McIntyre was animated. He took a selfie and posted a tweet on X during the match. He repeatedly took a dig at CM Punk during and after the match. Drew went towards the cult of personality and flexed his achievement. As he forced the former world champion to pick up a fight, Punk had a little brawl with McIntyre. That was when the music of Judgement Day hit.

In came Damian Priest, cashed in the money in the bank contract, delivered chokeslam, pinned McIntyre to claim the world title. It all happened soon as Drew lost his focus. He probably celebrated a bit too early and paid for it. His glory was short lived as Punk had a laugh about the short title reign. McIntyre could not believe he lost his focus to lose the title.
