The rumors on CM Punk's potential retirement are making rounds on social media. In the latest episode of WWE Raw, the second city saint claimed that he is unsure of his return to action. As Seth Rollins claimed that he would retire Punk at WrestleMania, many are wondering if Punk is actually going to retire after his feud with the visionary.
Every now and then, the capabilities of CM Punk as a wrestler is put in doubt. To the cult of personality's credits, he has proven the doubters wrong every single time. All his matches since return featuring Drew McIntyre have been good. The latest of them at Bad Blood has turned out to be an all-time instant classic.
However, it seems like Punk himself is not sure if he would ever wrestle. On Raw, Punk claimed that he is not sure when he would return to action. While many are ceratin about his match with the revolutionary, some are of the opinion that even it might not happen.
Is CM Punk retiring due to his family?
Matches like the Hell in a Cell could ensure that the wrestlers undergo a lot of trauma. The match between Punk and Drew at Bad Blood was one such where both of them nearly tried to kill each other. Considering that neither of the two's family wanted them to be a part of it, they still chose it.
For the same reason, the second city saint might have wanted to call AJ Lee as soon as he finished beating Drew. There could be a thought on him not wrestling not due to himself, but for his family. But nothing is sure as of now.
Seth did challenge Punk to be ready to face him when he returns. It was the primary match which was planned to take place at WrestleMania XL. However, the voice of the voiceless got injured leading to its sabotage. Seth claiming to retire Punk in Las Vegas had added fuel to fire on the rumors of Punk's retirement.
