Drew's post received appreciation from the majority of the fans who understood Wrestling. One of the fan asked Drew to quit Twitter for failing to beat the second city saint.
Punk and Drew McIntyre exceeded the expectations with the finale of their feud. They delivered one of the greatest matches in the history of Wrestling. Both Punk and Drew kept their promises. While Drew made Punk bleed, the voice of the voiceless made the Scottish Warrior bleed more.Β
The match had some crazy spots. Drew delivered a Claymore on numerous occasions. One of them was outside the ring and through the floor. He went for one more Claymore on the steel stair but was unsuccessful. He delivered a powerslam through the table. Drew's head was literally busted up as Punk used it to smash the former's head. The cult of personality picked up a win via pinfall. He had to be treated by the medical personnel. Punk refused to use an oxygen mask to breathe easily. CM Punk wanted to call AJ Lee.
On the other hand, Drew was banged up badly. He had to get a help from the medical team. He was treated with about 16 stitches on his head. Drew posted the image of his stitches and some of the bloody moments from the match. He wrote "I saw red" on X.
The match between the two has been rated highly by the fans already. The press has released a rating of 9.39/10 for the match which is highest in 2024. Among all the WWE matches, it has been rated 21st which is great. The fans showered their love and respect for both Punk and Drew for delivering an epic match.
