The main event has been confirmed for AEW's next Wrestle Dream 2024 pay-per-view. The main event of the September 25 AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam special took place at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, with Jon Moxley winning by the hard work against Darby Allin. For Moxley, though, the night didn't finish there.

He was unfortunate enough to see Moxley emerge victorious. At the very end, Allin was trying to suplex Moxley over the top rope when both of them were standing on it. Jon Moxley managed to flip it around and land a top rope hit on a Death Rider to take the victory.

The main event at tonight's AEW Dynamite saw Jon Moxley attempting to submit Darby Allin and attempt to win the AEW World Title against Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream. The fight was violent at points, with Allin being struck with steel steps, smashed on the torn-up floor, and bleeding from the mouth. After a while, Mox would finally take control of Allin, but Bryan Danielson returned to get revenge.

Following the bout, Danielson hurried over to the ring and made every effort to submit Moxley. Moxley was having none of it, and a fight involving several celebrities broke out. Danielson formally challenged Moxley to an AEW WrestleDream championship battle as the evening came to a close. In the weeks preceding the fight, Allin felt confident in his ability to defeat Moxley, even if he had taken the original shot. It had been a while since Moxley and Allin agreed to the battle.

The match will take place in October

In revenge for the vicious beating he suffered at AEW All Out 2024 earlier this month, AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson unexpectedly attacked Moxley following the match. Even after the chaos was finally put to an end, Danielson wasn't finished. Taking hold of a microphone, he angrily stated that he and Moxley would face off for the AEW World Championship at AEW Wrestle Dream 2024.

The much-awaited fight between two of AEW's biggest stars is scheduled to take place on October 12 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. The match between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship is making Wrestle Dream 2024 seem like a wild one.
