On Wednesday, September 18, AEW landed in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in preparation for the AEW Dynamite show that evening. The show this week significantly advanced the plot of Grand Slam, and Jon Moxley was there to further his current plot.
When Jon Moxley choked Bryan Danielson with a trash bag following the AEW World Heavyweight Title bout, it shocked the pro wrestling world at All Out. He made an effort at an explanation at the September 11 AEW Dynamite opening segment as a result of that audacious gesture.

This week, AEW Dynamite also highlighted the Blackpool Combat Club, emphasizing Wheeler Yuta. He voiced his displeasure with Moxley's behaviour at All Out, which sparked a heated exchange during which the others had to hold him back. But when they defended the AEW Trios Titles, Pac and Claudio stressed how crucial Yuta's presence was and urged him to come back to Dynamite the next week. The next speaker was Jon Moxley.
Wheeler Yuta has the strength to make the correct decision, according to the former AEW World Champion. Moxley reminded Yuta of his duty to the greater good while also assuring him that he is not bound and that the choice is ultimately his. "What kind of man did they teach you to be?" he pressed Yuta to think.
It seems that Jon Moxley is a little busy trying to get Wheeler Yuta to come back to the BCC for the Grand Slam the following week. Although Yuta admitted that his thoughts have been disorganized, he is still determined to not back down from a match at the Grand Slam. Private Party took up that open challenge right away.
The AEW World Championship chance for Darby Allin will be decided in a singles bout between Moxley and Allin. The winner of this much-awaited contest will face Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream. We'll have to wait and watch what occurs in Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 25.
