EA’s Sims may finally get a match as Krafton is set to release a new life simulator game ‘inZOI’ that closely resembles Sims and promises better customisation. The game is set to release on March 28 in early access on PC (Steam) and will come with a price tag of $40, around the same price as The Sims 4 before it went free-to-play.
Like any other life sim game, inZOI features complete control over the character (Zoi) and the world around it, letting people play god. A roadmap post-release and more about the game were revealed during a recent showcase, along with other features coming with the release.
Four major updates planned for inZOI in 2025
With the game releasing in early access, inZOI’s game director, ‘Hyungjun Kim', revealed there are a lot of additions planned this year itself. There will be four major updates to the game across May, August, October, and December. These will include some already planned in-game features along with things from community feedback.
Speaking of updates, the $40 price tag also includes all DLC updates as long as the game is in early access. The first major update is also bringing a mod kit for Maya and Blender (3D software). Modding tools, as we know, are quite popular among gamers and help them make their own content. There are also cheat codes for people experimenting with things.

inZOI makes use of AI-generated assets
One thing to note, especially for people looking to steer clear of games using AI, is that inZOI also makes use of AI, including AI-generated textures, 3D objects using images, and other aspects. This was disclosure on the game’s Steam page, similar to Call of Duty disclosure.
“Players can generate unique textures for character outfits and various items based on text input. They can also create 3D objects from image input, which can be used as interior decorations or accessories, and add distinctive motions to their ZOI using video input. Additionally, the actions and thoughts of ZOIs are controlled through sLM technology, enabling more engaging and intuitive interactions,” the message reads.
