PUBG: Battlegrounds developer Krafton is currently developing a life simulation game similar to The Sims by Electronic Arts (EA) but much more feature rich and yesterday, the company gave everyone a development roadmap video.

The video shows an extensive amount of customization and things players can do inside the game with the character and other NPCs. Unlike The Sims, players seem to have a lot more freedom on actual gameplay.

The character ‘Zoi’ can roam across the city in a third person view, drive around in purchased vehicles, interact with other NPCs and much more that will further progress their relationship in positive and negative manner and much more.

Players also have the power to edit their surroundings and the city itself. For even more immersion, Krafton said they are also working on plugins that will help fans create custom mods for the game. There is also no news regarding any form of multiplayer in the game, considering it is a game where you get to play god.

Working with community suggestions

Producer and Director of inZoi, Hyungjun ‘Kjun’ Kim, have revealed that the developers are taking in feedback from the community itself through their Discord server, incorporating several of their ideas before the game goes into early access.

“Since the first trailer was released last year, we have felt the immense interest from global fans towards inZOI. Please continue to provide us with honest and diverse feedback through our Discord and SNS channels,” Kjun requested everyone.

While there is currently no date or a solid release window for the game by Krafton, the company plans to have early access up by the end of this year. Although, it would not be a surprise if they plan to shift it to next year due to the complexity of the project.

There will be another development update of the game sometime this month that will focus on further clarifying the question from the community regarding the game.
