Ahead of the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, Netflix has released the teaser of their upcoming miniseries Senna. The web series will be based on the life of former Formula 1 racer Ayrton Senna. The Brazilian superstar has won the world championship title thrice in his lifetime.

The teaser seemed very exciting right from the start without revealing the plot of the story! But it will talk about Senna's love for racing and how determined he was, which helped him become a champion.

Here is the teaser:

The story will also talk about three big victories Senna had from 1988 to 1991 and a time when he lost a major race in 1989 to his rival Alain Prost. The preview shows a bit of how he won his first race in Brazil in 1991, even though his car got stuck in one gear because of sudden rain. It will also share some bits about his childhood, like when he started racing go-karts and a surprising loss he had while racing for Toleman in 1984.

When will it be released?

The teaser trailer came out a day before what would have been Senna's 30th birthday. Netflix hasn’t announced the release date yet, but they say it will come out later this year. Notably, Senna’s family company, Senna Brands, is working to raise money for the Ayrton Senna Institute in memory of the late F1 champ.

They worked together as creators on the Netflix project, which was produced by Fabiano Gullane and Caio Gullane. Gabriel Leone plays the F1 Champion in the series, along with Matt Mella, Johannes Heinrichs, and others. They filmed the show in two important F1 places in Brazil: Senna’s hometown, Sao Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro. Some scenes were also shot in Britain, Argentina, and Uruguay.

However, fans might expect a more dramatic and emphasized storyline as it is the Netflix adaptation 2010 documentary film Senna, which used his real-life footage. So, it will be an interesting take on how Netflix works around it to innovate.
