Formula 1 legend and 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton had a special flying adventure with IWC where he was flying a Soviet-made L-39 training jet. The flight was a light combat aircraft which is used for training new pilots.
As a Formula 1 pilot, Lewis Hamilton wanted to lay hands on the aircraft which he did with the help of a pilot who guided the 7-time world champion during his flying adventure. Formula 1 drivers and professional fighter jet pilots' lives are very similar.
John: “I think Lewis would fit right into the group. He’s got the tenacity, he’s so smart when he has a passion for doing this”

Both of them undergo vigorous training to handle the earth's gravity as they move very fast. Pilots move fast in the air while Formula 1 drivers move fast on the land. Lewis Hamilton is used to these kinds of high gravitational forces, and so he handled them more casually than normal people. Lewis Hamilton wanted to go to space like so he was trained by the IWC.

Usually, new pilots will pass out when pulling high gravity force during their initial training period. Many ordinary people who want to experience the G’s will also faint once the pilots increase the gravity or dive bombs. But the British driver looked like he was made of metal and he handled it very casually and even asked the pilot to go for even more G’s so that he could experience that. The pilot was more amused to see Lewis Hamilton asking more gravity and he appreciated his interest and pulled more G’s.

He went up to 7.5Gs where Lewis Hamilton breathed heavily which is one way to handle the high gravitational force. He already experienced Fighter jets many times by flying with the British Royal Air Force. This time it was even more fun for the world champion as he felt more amazed in flying the light combat flight.

Lewis Hamilton is not the only F1 driver to fly a fighter jet. Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton’s future teammate at Ferrari also went for a flying adventure with the French Air Force flying Rafale jets. Pulling High Gravitational force has become more of a natural ability for these F1 drivers.
