Xavier Woods did something which is regarded as a crime on WWE. On Raw, the star wrestler removed Rey Mysterio's mask during the match between the two. While Xavier claimed it to be unintentional, the video had something else to suggest. Backstage on WWE Raw, Kofi Kingston confirmed that Woods would be taking on Jey uso for the IC title next week on the red brand.
Last week on Raw, Woods was unhappy with the fact that the LWO indirectly cost New Day the match. He hence directly confronted Rey Mysterio and had a verbal exchange with him. It led to their match on Raw this week. It tirned out to be a decent match between the two.

Towards the end of the match, Xavier pulled off Rey's mask. The WWE Hall of Famer was in shock and tried to get his mask back. In the process, Woods claimed a win via pinfall. Rey soon went to get back his mask and was unhappy with Woods' move.

Xavier was in shock for what he just did.Β With the same feeling, he went back to the locker room where he was confronted by Kofi Kingston. The former world champion congratulted his mate on the win. But he just wanted to ask if Woods wanted to remove Rey's mask intentionally or unitentionally.
Woods was quick to reply that it was uninitentional. Kofi let him know that it was an ultimate sign of disrespect to remove a Lucha wrestler's mask. But he had a good news for his New Day partner. Kofi claimed that he was offered a shot at the IC title by Jey Uso.
While Xavier claimed he would support him in the match, Kofi said he instead offered the match to former. Woods was highly pleased with it and thanked Kofi for the opportunity. Next week on Raw, Jey will be taking on Woods for the IC title. Xavier has not won a major match in a long time.
