LA Knight and Carmelo Hayes register their names for King of the Ring 2024

Carmelo Hayes and LA Knight registered their names for the King of the Ring 2024. After Gunther registered his name on Monday Night Raw, the duo would be aiming to make an impact in the show. Hayes had a little backstage conversation with Bobby Lashley. The former NXT Superstar had a chat with Nick Aldis about his performance against Cody Rhodes the last week. 

That was when the Almighty came to congratulate Hayes. Lashley asked Carmelo about any help if he needed. The former NXT Champion claimed that he does not need any and bragged about his match against Rhodes. While the Almighty reminded him that Cody won the match, Carmelo took a dig at Bobby and asked when was the last time he showed up, which irked him.

Later in the night, LA Knight took on Legado Del Fantasma in a match. He overcame their challenge and emerged victorious. After the match, Knight spoke to the people and confirmed his participation in the King of the Ring 2024. Santos Escobar had a dig at the Megastar and claimed him to be good only to talk. Knight replied it saying that people want to see him talk rather than watch Escobar.

AOP beat the New Catch Republic

After losing the number one contender match to AJ Styles, Knight would be hoping to regain the momentum by winning the prestigious King of the Ring match. Before the match, The New Catch republic took on the Final Testament in a match. Last week on Smackdown, Karrion Kross and the AOP had attacked Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne for no reasons which led to their match. 

The match between The New Catch Republic and AOP turned out to be good. It was mostly dominated by Pete and Tyler. Both of them gave a great performance and showed why they are amongst the best tag teams in the roster. However, due to the distraction from Karrion and Scarlett, the AOP managed to pin the New Catch Republic to claim a win.
