Gunther returns to Monday Night Raw and registers himself for King of the Ring

Gunther returned to Monday Night Raw for the first time after WrestleMania XL. The ring general seemed sad for having lost the title. The Imperium's head was accompanied by Giannavo Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser. Gunther acknowledged that he lost the match at WrestleMania XL after doing everything to elevate the prestige of the title. Soon after it, he made a big announcement.

Without the title, Gunther looked a bit odd. Even his smile was lost throughout his return to Raw. The ring general thanked Sami Zayn for helping him to get rid of the title. He believed that having to carry the prestige of the title was a burden on him. Gunther claimed that he was free of responsibilities and would be the hunter in whichever the roster he would be a part of.

After it, Gunther registered himself to take part in the King of the Ring. The former Intercontinental Champion claimed that he would wish to become 'King of the Ring' from 'The ring general'. That was when the New Day's Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston interrupted and made fun of the Imperium. Woods reminded Gunther of the fact that he was no more the IC Champion.

Is Vince ousted from Imperium?

The banter between the two factions led to a tag team match between Woods, Kingston and Vinci, Kaiser. The match lasted for a while in which the New Day emerged victorious. Throughout the match, Gunther seemed to be disappointed. The performance of the Imperium duo did not please the ring general. After the match, he sported a disappointing look at Ludwing and Vinci. 

As he left away from the arena, Kaiser tried to help an injured Vinci get out of the ring. Just when Vinci recovered and tried to move away from the arena, Kaiser started to attack him out of nowhere. The Imperium's OG member beat Vinci for life. The security guards had to intervene to stop the torture. In the backstage, Kaiser was welcomed by the ring general with a wicked smile.
