Joe Hendry screwed! Je'Von Evans eliminates Shawn Spears to win Battle Royal, becomes number one contender for Trick Williams

Je'Von Evans won the Battle Royal to become the number one contender for Trick Williams. He has now got a title shot at the NXT Championship after putting on a brave performance despite an injury. He eliminated Shawn Spears to win the match. The match turned out to be good with many top moments. In the end, it was the resilience of Evans that stood tall.

As promised by Cody Rhodes, there were many wrestlers from NXT and some other wrestlers from different rosters. A couple of TNA stars were in the ring, both being rivals in their roster. Frankie Kazarian and Joe Hendry, who faced each other at TNA Against All Odds were in the match. Hendry got screwed as all the participants turned against him and eliminated by 30 seconds.

The match had some top stars from Raw and Smackdown like Tyler Bate, Dragon Lee, Legado Del Fantasma's emerging duo, and a few former AEW stars. All of them had their moments. Not many lasted longer. Some did but could manage to claim a win. Evans fought his way in the match and emerged to be the top contender. The injury of the 20-year-old did not deter him.

Impressive performance from injured Je'Von Evans

Ethan Page's elimination turned out to be a bit controversial. He will hence have a main event match with Je'Von. Tony D'Angelo was probably the MVP of the match, who fought hard and eliminated a lot of wrestlers. His show couldn't last longer as he got eliminated despite having the momentum. Tyler Bate, Gallus, and Kazarian all had their moments, but could not capitalize on it.

It came down to Dragon Lee, Je'Von and Shawn Spears. The latter his himself from the others who fought hard. All of a sudden, he came out of nowhere and eliminated Lee. Je'Von fought hard and saved himself from nearly getting eliminated. He then delivered his finisher and threw Shawn out of the ring to claim a massive win. He became one of the youngest Battle Royal winners.
