Joe Hendry appears on NXT and assists Trick Williams against Ethan Page and Shawn Spears

Joe Hendry appeared and helped Trick Williams claim a win against Ethan Page and Shawn Spears. The TNA star was teased to be on NXT and rightfully appeared to be the tag partner of Trick who was short of one. Hendry pinned Shawn and claimed a win for his team to end the night on a high. He ensured Williams finally got his smile back on his face.

After losing his title to Ethan at NXT Heatwave, Williams was furious. It led him to challenging the champion for a rematch on the yellow brand. However, both Spears and Je'Von Evans got themselves into the contention. Hence, a tag team match was set for the night. Spears and Page teamed up with each other. However, Evans was not medically clear due to a spasm.

Hence, a suspense was kept about Trick's partner for the rest of the night. Many knew it would be Joe. And he appeared to the demand of the fans. He was greeted by the fans who sang his song. Williams started the proceedings and tried to take out Page. Hendry got the tag and faced Spears. He was in trouble as Shawn and Ethan dominated him for the next few minutes.

Ora Mensah's interference helps Trick Williams and Joe Hendry

The TNA star managed to tag Trick and recovered himself. Williams took out Spears with a finisher. As the match progressed, Ora Mensah interfered and went behind Page. The NXT Champion feared for his life and ran outside the arena. Ora chased him out of the ring and it was officially a handicap match. Spears was hinted by Trick and Joe. 

It was a great night for Hendry as the fans sang his song even during the match and cheered him. Hendry acknowledged them and delivered a choke slam. He pinned Spears to claim a win for his team. Williams was finally happy after losing the title at NXT Heatwave. He thanked Hendry for showing up to assist him. The fans felt their money was spent well due to Joe's presence in the arena.
