Charlotte Flair was out of action from WWE for over 14 months, as she suffered an ACL and Meniscus injury on WWE SmackDown after the Survivor Series 2023. She returned at the Royal Rumble 2025 and won it to no one's surprise. The decision was not liked by the fans, who booed her win and even expressed their disapproval in the following weeks.
Flair was supposed to be a baby face but was forced to act heel during her feud against Tiffany Stratton. Since the Queen drew a lot of audience to watch her wrestler, WWE thought of giving her a shot at the world title, which backfired. While she lost to the Centre of the Universe at Mania, the dislike for her among the fans did not stop.

On WWE SmackDown, the duo worked well as a tag team and earned a spot for Evolution 2.0. It was a win-win situation, as Charlotte was no longer in the world title scenario and could also be used to elevate the Women's tag team division. Since her story with Bliss, the 14-time world champion has been cheered and 'woo-ed' by the fans.
