"I'm grateful for all the fans in India that I've never once overlooked. I remember visiting India for my first time in 2005 or 2006. You have to remember this is when I was gaining my footing as a WWE Superstar, not a 17-time champ or anything like that. I was treated in India, like, it's been a reception I've never seen and I've never forgotten," said John Cena.
"So, the one thing I want them to know about John Cena, I'm grateful for you, and I'm not the person or personality I am without you. So, thank you," Cena added in his statement.

"The enthusiasm, the hospitality, and the welcome that I have always received from India, not to mention the support and the fan base in India, even though I have only been there for a limited time," Cena said during the London Premiere of 'Heads of State'.
"I want to repeat and say thank you. Thank you so much for the investment the audience of India has given to me. I guess I have tried my best to pay it forward, and I would not have been where I am if not for the audience's investment in India. I'm so grateful," Cena told PTI.
