Drew McIntyre suffered one of the most humiliating defeats of his career at WWE Clash at the Castle in front of his home country of Scotland, thanks to his arch-rival CM Punk. He appeared to leave RAW last week but returned the next Smackdown to crush Punk for his actions and make a tremendous message.

The Scottish Warrior began the June 24 episode of Monday Night RAW by explaining his conduct. He chastised the crowd for supporting CM Punk, which had lost McIntyre valuable opportunities, and hoped that he was uncomfortable at home following his attack last week.

On the June 21 episode of SmackDown in Chicago, CM Punk started the program by discussing the aftermath of the WWE Clash at the Castle. He expressed disappointment at losing a vital World championship opportunity in Drew McIntyre's home country of Scotland, as well as his partnership with Cody Rhodes to defend against possible Bloodline assaults.

McIntyre took the bleeding Punk to the ringside area and threw him on the entrance ramp. General Manager Nick Aldis responded quickly, dispatching security to restore order. Punk was eventually carried to the hospital in an ambulance.

During his assault, Drew McIntyre also snatched CM Punk's bracelet, which carries great value for Punk because it includes the names of Punk's wife AJ Lee, and his beloved dog Larry. McIntyre then displayed the band he had removed from CM Punk's hand on SmackDown, which had the names of his wife, AJ Lee, and dog, Larry, and placed around his arm.

Furthermore, Drew McIntyre switched his attention to the Money in the Bank ladder match, declaring that he would win and cash in on the opportunity the same night to have CM Punk watch him win the championship while being wounded at home, even going so far as to say that he now had Punk's family in his corner.
