WATCH: Bret Hart returns to WWE Raw

Bret Hart returned to WWE Raw for the first time in years. The WWE Hall of Famer wanted to see the fans of Canada on the red brand. The segment involved Sami Zayn and Gunther's feud further taking shape well. Bret saw the two go against each other and took a dig at Gunther who claimed him to be his second favorite wrestler of all time after Bill Goldberg.

Wade Barrett and Co. interviewed the legend. The fans chanted "Bret" as the former WWE Superstar was in the arena. Bret claimed that he took pride in being the world champion from Canada. He claimed that Canadians never back away from a fight. Hart claimed that he is the best there is, there was, and there ever will be. The fans chanted it alongside him.

That was when Gunther's music hit and the Ring General arrived straight to the scene. The fans booed the world champion for interrupting the special moment. The fans initially did not let Gunther speak. He claimed Bret to be one of his childhood heroes. He agreed to the fact that Bret Hart is indeed the best there is, there was, and there ever will be.

Sami Zayn confronts Gunther in front of Bret Hart

Gunther claimed it was like a moment of passing on the torch. Gunther claimed The Hitman would be his close second favorite. He added that Bill Goldberg was his personal favorite wrestler of all time. That was when the music of Sami Zayn hit. The fans welcomed Sami with a loud pop. He went straight to the Hitman and hugged the WWE Hall of Famer.

Sami addressed the dig Gunther took at Hart. He claimed Bret to be the hero of Canada and added that the former WWE Superstar inspired a lot of wrestlers like himself. Sami reminded Gunther that he had run away from the fight. He asked Gunther to accept the challenge for the world title. Gunther had a smile before reacting to the challenge thrown by the star wrestler.
