Baron Corbin reveals the reason for his WWE absence after being drafted

Baron Corbin, known for his determination both inside and beyond the ring, really came into his own during his NXT tenure last year. He was drafted to Friday Night SmackDown this year and hasn't done anything since, but Corbin has now explained the reason for his absence after the draft. 

Baron Corbin was promoted to the main roster at this year's WWE Draft and is now a member of Friday Night SmackDown. Corbin hasn't done anything since then, other than lose a singles match, and he has also been gone from WWE television. Corbin was one of several NXT performers promoted to the WWE main roster in the 2024 WWE Draft.

After being drafted to SmackDown, Baron Corbin made his main roster in-ring debut on the May 10 program, losing to Carmelo Hayes in the first round of the King of the Ring competition. Corbin hasn't competed since, and several fans have gone to social media to criticize WWE for scheduling the former NXT Tag Team Champion. Following Dijak and Corbin's call-ups, one Twitter user asked where they had been.

Baron Corbin will make his return soon

A fan rushed to Twitter to point out that Dijak and Baron Corbin haven't appeared on WWE television or been used much. Corbin reacted to the message, stating that he is now on vacation for a few weeks. Corbin responded to this message, stating that he had some time off. “I’m on vacation for a few weeks”.“I’m in Spain and Italy. The food here is so good”.

Bron Breakker, Corbin's former tag-team partner, has established himself as a formidable Raw figure since the WWE draft. We'll have to wait and see what WWE has planned for Baron Corbin when he returns, but fans expect him to accomplish something significant with his main roster stint this time around.
