There are many rivalries in the game of tennis that have made this a sport for everyone to witness on the day. However, it is the big three who have had the best matches among each other. The trio of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic is what made this game one of the biggest and most global individual sports in the world and we as fans have always enjoyed these three battle it out on the court.

The rivalry between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal was set to take place and this was a game that all the fans were looking forward to witnessing. This is the match between two of the biggest rivals in the game who were playing their 60th game together. It is safe to say this is one of the top rivalries in tennis which everyone has enjoyed for a long time during their era of dominance. There is no doubt there was a lot of hype for this game which we all were excited to witness.

Djokernole comes out victorious

Though we were looking forward to a great rivalry between the two legends, unfortunately, it did not start in that fashion as Djokovic completely dominated the King of Clay in the first set winning by a score of 6-1. It was all or nothing for Nadal in the upcoming set and we all were hoping for another great comeback from the Spaniard. The second set did see Nadal try to come back into the match, but unfortunately, it was Djokovic who took the victory in this encounter winning it by a score of 6-4. This might have been a straight victory on paper, but we still saw glimpses of brilliance from El Nino which we will remember.

This might have not been a 3-set classic but we all still enjoyed these two great players battling it out in this match in some moments. It was still a valiant effort from El Nino, but in the end, he had to bow down to the class and resilience of Novak Djokovic. It was still great to see these two legends play against each other which will most probably be the last time we see in professional tennis.
