At 37 years old, the Serbian powerhouse is on track to claim his 11th Australian Open title, with Alexander Zverev set to face him in the semi-finals.
'Old' Djokovic celebrates his triumph over young Carlos Alcaraz
In an impressive display of resilience, Djokovic managed to secure a hard-fought victory over the younger Spaniard, despite competing with his left thigh heavily strapped. The match, which lasted 3 hours and 37 minutes, ended with scores of 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.
This remarkable performance marked Djokovic's progress into the semi-finals at Melbourne Park for the 12th time, nearing Roger Federer's record of 15 appearances.
Additionally, this win brought Djokovic's total Grand Slam semi-final appearances to an outstanding 50, placing him four ahead of Federer.
