Tennis star and world number two Iga Swiatek defeated Eva Lys by 6-0, 6-1 in the fourth round of the 2025 Australian Open at Rod Laver Arena of Melbourne Park on January 20. The Polish star storms into the quarterfinal round, joining her rivals Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff after showcasing her beast form against the Ukrainian player.

The 23-year-old had a great start to the game, winning the first set comfortably. However, Lys was seen turning into form in the later set but failed to do so andallowed Swiatek to mark a straight-sets win in just 59 minutes of the play to head to the last eight rounds of the first Grand Slam of the year.
