Tennis star and world number two Iga Swiatek defeated Emma Raducanu in the third round of the 2025 Australian Open at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Park on January 18. She has successfully advanced to the fourth round, joining her rivals Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff. The Polish star showcased her excellent form in both sets, winning comfortably.

In addition, the 23-year-old tennis star hit some impressive shots in the second set, which marked the straight-sets win. This win showcases Swaitek's class form. Raducanu was expected to at least give some fight in the game, but Iga's dominance in both sets shattered her.

Notably, the Polish star has a great chance to maintain her great form heading to the fourth round of the marquee event after being involved in the controversy since 2024. Several tennis pundits and fans have lashed out at her for the doping scandal, but she can pause them with her sublime performance.

“I just enjoyed playing. I hit a few shots where I thought after, ‘this is what I practice for.’ To play these kind of shots. That’s why I really enjoyed today’s match. I felt pretty confident. At the end I could push her even more. Converting all those break points as well was important. I’m happy with today’s performance," Iga Swiatek said after the win.
