Tennis star Jannik Sinner moves to the 2025 Australian Open quarter-finals after a drama-filled fourth-round win over Denmark star Holger Rune at the Rod Laver Arena of Melbourne Park on January 20. The world number one won in the epic four-setter, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, but it seems that this did not showcase the story of a contest defined by illness and distress in the game.
The Italian sensation was seen recovering better from the extended break in the third set of the match, taking control of the second set to take it to 6-2. The young star is now set to face the battle between Alex Michelson and Alex de Minaur in the last eight rounds.
In the same vein, here are the three records that have been shattered by Jannik Sinner after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2025 Australian Open.

Jannik: “Today the support meant so much to me. I really needed you guys today. It’s 90% yours and 10% I tried to make you happy.” 🥹

“This morning was a very strange morning because I didn’t even warm up today, so just tried to go on court as fit as I could. I knew in my mind already before the match that I would struggle today. He has shown a history of being able to play through some physical duress, but that was in cool conditions and best-of-three sets,” Jannik Sinner said in his on-court interview.
