Medvedev was spotted smashing a net camera and breaking his racquet in frustration during his gritty five-set comeback win against wildcard Kasidit Samrej in the first round. The Russian player was spotted hitting the net with his racquet, breaking it in the process. In addition, the 28-year-old also destroyed the camera on the net. "The camera was very, very strong, because my racquet didn’t handle the damage, but the camera did. I was very surprised. The fine is usually for breaking the racquet, and the camera is going to cost some, but I don’t think Go Pro is that expensive," Medvedev said after his first-round win.
