It was also his first instance of crossing over 90 meters in an official tournament. However, it was not enough for him to win the event, as Julian Weber registered his personal best throw of 91.06 meters.

The two throwers will go against each other in Paris later this week, which promises to be a great contest. The Paris Diamond League features some of the best Javelin throwers in the world. Grenada's Anderson Peters, Kenya's Julius Yego, Moldova's Andrian Mardare, Brazil's Luiz Mauricio da Silva, and Trinidad and Tobago's Keshorn Walcott, apart from Weber and Chopra.

However, the Olympic champion, Arshad Nadeem, will not be a part of the event, as he has not registered his name for the same. Hence, there will be no faceoff between Nadeem and Chopra, who have not faced each other since the Paris Olympics 2024.
