'Fully support the PCB's stance against the hybrid model' - Shahid Afridi
A major javelin throw tournament was announced by the Athletics Federation of India. The International Javelin Tournament will be held in India every year from 2025. While Neeraj is likely to take part in it, the fans are interested to know if Arshad would be a part of the tournament.
Shahid recently wrote about India not being willing to tour Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The former Pakistani skipper claimed that the BCCI put cricket in a precarious position by bringing politics into sport. He supported PCB's move to protest against the hybrid model. He mentioned that Pakistan toured India 5 times after the 26/11 attacks, including a bilateral series.
"By intertwining politics with sports, the BCCI has placed international cricket in a precarious position. Fully support the PCB's stance against the hybrid model, especially since Pakistan (despite security concerns) has toured India five times, including a bilateral white-ball series post-26/11," wrote Afridi on his social media handle.
