The Indian fans were unhappy with the performance of India against Pakistan in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy. India beat Pakistan 2-1 in the arch-rivalry game to enter the semifinals without losing a game. However, the fans were not happy with the fact that the forwards were not able to attack as much as one would have liked.

India had an advantage of head-to-head record over Pakistan coming into the game. In the second half, Pakistan played with 10 players. Yet, India could not put on a domiannt performance like they usually do otherwise. The fans were unhappy with the fact that no field goal was scored by India in the game.

Pakistanpierced the circle and scored a field goal. On the other hand, India's both goals were a result of the penalty corner conversion from Harmanpreet Singh. The Indian captain scored back-to-back goals and ensured India got the lead. While attack needed to be better, Indian defensive unit put on a show.

Fans hope to see improvement in India's game

In particular, the Indian goalkeeper Krishan Bhaaddur Pathak was fantastic who made a lot of saves. But the fans felt it was not a side that won the Bronze medal at the Paris Olympics last month. Despite not having a great game, India would take the win as it came against the arch-rivals.

It has been over 3137 days since India lost a game against Pakistan. In 2016, Pakistan last won a Hockey game against India. They have a lot to work on their game with not a good attacking and defensive units. A lot of results have to go their way to qualify for the semifinal of the tournament.

The fans expected India to put on a better performance in the semifinal and the final. Being the defending champions, there is an added pressure on the Indian team. India beat Malaysia 3-2 in the final last year in Chennai to win the Asian Champions Trophy. Fans would hope to see a dominant performance in the next few matches.
