Harmanpreet Singh came to India's rescue by scoring back-to-back goals against Pakistan in their last group stage match in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy 2024. The Indian captain ensured that the table toppers got a lead of 2-1 after conceding a goal early in the game. Sarpanch sahab converted two penalty corners into goals. His drag flick art was on disaplay in Mongolia.

For the first time in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy, India was on the backfoot in a game by conceding the early goal. The Pakistani players pierced the Indian defense and went into the inner circle and produced a goal in the process. Pakistan's players were high on confidence after claiming the first goal of the match.

The Indian team needed a support from their captain to lift their spirits up. There was no better way than to lead from the front against Pakistan. Singh did exactly that and scored back-to-back goals in a quick time. The first of them came in the first quarter while the second one came right at the start of the second quarter.

India lead 2-1 over Pakistan after the first half

Abhishek gave the injection from the corner, Singh got into the position perfectly and breezed past the gap between the goalkeeper and the defender to claim India the first goal. The Indian camp celebrated the goal as they got an equalizer. He pulled off something similar right after the first quarter.

India was awarded yet another penalty corner. The defending champions made a good use of it and scired the second consecutive goal. Harmanpreet Singh did not spill the opportunity and produced yet another goal. Sarpanch sahab was in full flow as his drag flick had no answers by the Pakistani players.

Singh's double strike helped India to be in a better position by the end of the first half. India went to the break with a lead of 2-1. Harmanpreet continued his good run against Pakistan and would be hoping to make the most of it by potentially scoring a hat-trick.
