Pakistan cricket never fails to take the centre of attraction, but it is often for the wrong reasons. Amid disparities in the team, the management are facing massive criticism for their string of disasters in the past couple of years, and they have faced yet another attack within the family in a shameful incident.
In the latest development, former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali made a huge claim against one of their finest all-rounders Shoaib Malik regarding match-fixing. His controversial remark came on the day of the inaugural Champions One-Day Cup match, a 50-over domestic tournament organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Malik is the mentor of Stallions, which is led by Mohammad Haris. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Basit accused Malik of match-fixing and added that he is ready to present evidence. He also slammed the PCB's decision to appoint the 42-year-old as the mentor of one of the five teams.
"The one who doesn't think about the country should not be appointed. The one who has admitted that he has deliberately lost a match should not be the mentor. If you want evidence I will give it. Ramiz Raja Saheb interviewed Shoaib Malik. What did he say?" Ali said.
