Trick Williams attacks Joe Hendry after retaining his TNA World Title at Rebellion (Photograph: X)
At TNA Rebellion, Joe Hendry retained his title against Ethan Page and Frankie Kazarain, who also came in the match. Joe Hendry pinned down Ethan Page, won the game and started to celebrate the win. Trick Williams suddenly showed up and attacked Joe Hendry in the middle of his celebration.
This was his sixth title defense after winning the TNA World Championship. Before exiting the ring, Trick Williams grabbed the TNA World Title following the attack, gazed at it for a while, and then threw it directly upon Hendry's chest. It was obvious that Trick Williams had his sights set on the gold.

Joe Hendry to make appearance on WWE NXT
Soon, Shaw Michaels, NXT head, saw this opportunity and invited Joe Hendry to WWE NXT to face Trick Williams to settle the score. This led Hendry a chance to come into WWE NXT and make his presence there also as they appeared in WrestleMania 41.
Joe Hendry made a surprise appearance in the biggest WWE event, WrestleMania 41. Even though Joe Hendry’s match was against Randy Orton, he lost the match in less than 5 minutes. Randy strikes him twice with an RKO and appreciates his efforts to show up in WrestleMania 41.
Later, he appeared on NXT during Oba Femi and Williams' heated conversation. After speaking with Williams, Hendry informed Femi that he had business with him following the Rebellion. Later, GM Ava threw Williams out of the facility when he was spotted backstage feeling angry about what had happened and beginning to demolish the space.
