Following Kingston's eleven years with the organization, the fans came together to organize "KofiMania" to see the journeyman actor receive the credit he deserves. After putting up 11 years of effort, overcoming every obstacle in his path, and earning every chance, Kofi Kingston finally got his chance and defeated Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship in one of the most heart-wrenching moments in WrestleMania history.

The Rock's WWE Championship was at stake in their rematch with John Cena at WrestleMania 29. There were many counters and finishers during the match, and it concluded with another counter and finisher. The Rock repeatedly kicked out or broke out of the hold after Cena repeatedly struck his AA and locked in the STF. At one point, Cena also reached a rock bottom. The Rock failed to get the 3-count despite hitting a Rock Bottom and People's Elbow a couple of times. The contest concluded on an attempt at Rock Bottom. Cena hit the AA in response to the Rock's attempt at the Rock Bottom. Later Cena went for pinfall and won the title against The Rock.

Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair to take home the SmackDown Women's Championship which became an unforgettable WrestleMania match. There was an obvious excitement in the enormous crowd as Flair and Ripley squared off and attempted to outshine one another, but the challenger was able to gain the upper hand by slamming the champion face-first into the turnbuckle.

In his desperation to defeat The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels was prepared to go to any lengths to achieve victory. At WrestleMania XXVI, Taker forced Michaels to risk his illustrious career to fight him after learning of his desperation. After grabbing Michaels out of disgust, Undertaker gave him a third Tombstone Piledriver to win. After the game, both men embraced one another.

With a huge "Bloodline Rules" clause, Cody Rhodes challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the closing match at WrestleMania 40. With a victory at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes became the WWE Undisputed Champion. The Undertaker, John Cena, Seth Rollins, and Jey Uso helped Rhodes to defeat Roman Reigns and win the WWE Universal Championship. Reigns' incredible reign as champion came to an end in a wild main event as Rhodes pinned him to win his victory.
