The next AEW World Championship matchup between Jon Moxley and Samoa Joe has been given more heat. AEW Dynamite's "Beach Break" edition on May 14 will feature more than just a singles fight between Joe and Moxley. Rather, they will face off for the title inside a steel cage. Moxley often depends on his other Death Riders teammates for backup during matches, Joe requested that the steel cage stipulation be introduced this week.
After the Opps forced the Death Riders to withdraw, Joe demanded the rule during Wednesday's AEW Dynamite show. Before Joe took the mic and criticized Moxley, the Opps - Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata - quickly dispatched three local opponents in six-man tag action. He demanded that they fight for the title inside a steel cage this time.

Jon Moxley to defend his title for sixth time
The AEW Trios Titles were won by the Opps after Joe choked out Moxley on Dynamite in the back-to-back program. Joe's power over the champion makes him a significant danger to Moxley's title reign; if the cage bout is authorized, there won't be any time for backup plans or escape.
Joe will become a two-time AEW champion if he wins the upcoming fight. Moxley, who had won the title back in October, would be defending the title for the sixth time. If AEW grants Samoa Joe the cage match he desires, Jon Moxley's reign as champion may come to an end. He seems more deadly than ever. Beach Break is expected to take place at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, although no additional games have been announced as of yet.
