The main event at Revolution earlier this month was Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Championship against Cope, and the battle finished in a somewhat wild fashion. This week's Dynamite episode ended with Jon Moxley still holding the AEW World Championship after a violent 21-minute street fight that included no shortage of cameos or weapons.

Advertisment

When Jon Moxley was playing his entrance song, Adam Copeland jumped him, starting the match. The Rated R Superstar and Moxley began the event by fighting backstage in a van, but we never heard their arrival. Then, backstage, everything fell onto the concrete floor. Down a corridor that led to the arena, the two continued to fight.

Upon arriving at the arena, the two fought across the ringside area. Both sides did not want to offer the other any room, therefore the street brawl was savage. Afterward, as the bout went on, they found themselves battling their way back to ringside as they fought their way through the throng. Later on in the game, Moxley put a chair over Cope's throat. After Moxley reached the top rope, Cope stood up, hurled the chair at him, and used a superplex to strike him. After more back-and-forth fighting, Cope seized Spike from beneath the ring.

When he returned to the ring, Moxley struck him with a cutter. After sliding a table into the ring, Mox placed it in the corner. Cope nearly ended the bout by launching a spear through the table, but Shafir stopped him before he could pin him. Wayne gave Mox a cutter, which gave him a two-count pin try. Mox used a bulldog choke to terminate the fight a few seconds later.

Jon Moxley managed to take home his championship

After Mox stood up and Cope stabbed him through the table, the bout went on. To break up that pinfall, Marina Shafir managed to get into the ring. Willow Nightingale then leaped into the ring and knocked Shafir out. Mox nailed a Death Rider on Cope to complete the pinfall after Nick Wayne leaped into the ring next to him and nailed a cutter. Even though it was a vicious fight, Jon Moxley managed to take home his championship.
