"The Spider" has been Julian Alvarez's moniker since he was just five years old. Alvarez's sibling is rumored to have given him the moniker due to his exceptional soccer skills, which gave the impression that he got more than two legs.

Alvarez created a remarkable goal celebration by mimicking the Marvel character Spider-Man by bending his middle fingers, all thanks to his moniker. Alvarez has a tradition of celebrating goals by flinging his arms wide and mimicking Spider-Man by extending his thumb, forefinger, and little finger.

Alvarez was once questioned about if Sergio Aguero, the all-time leading scorer for City and an idol from Argentina, made a similar gesture in which he used to celebrate his first goal for his team, Manchester City.

Julian Alvarez set to join Atletico Madrid in coming days

After eventually reaching a personal terms agreement regarding the La Liga team, Alvarez will be joining Atletico Madrid. Ben Jacobs claimed that even though Atletico and Manchester City had agreed on a sum, "a disagreement" regarding Alvarez's base wage and contract duration was putting the deal in risk between the club and player.

However, Fabrizio Romano reports that the sides have now struck a consensus, and the 24-year-old is scheduled to pen a five-year deal at Metropolitano Stadium. Romano stated that at one point in the negotiations, Alvarez and Atleti had a disagreement of about €2 million/€3 million. Alvarez, who is set to leave City for £82 million, will become the club record sale after Los Rojiblancos made a better offer and won Alvarez over.

The trades featuring Chelsea's Conor Gallagher as well as Atletico's Saul Omorodion were being impacted by the delay in the Alvarez transaction. Now that the Alvarez domino is about to fall, Gallagher and Omorodion are both anticipated to sign with the Spanish team and Chelsea, respectively. After a long season that saw him play in both the Copa America and the Olympics, the Argentina international has to go on a vacation. But before that, he has to finish the legalities associated with moving to the Spanish capital.
