Malappuram FC have been making big strides as renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has spoken about them in his ‘Here We Go’ podcast. The team will debut in the first season of the Kerala Super League and have recently recruited a top coach from Aston Villa to be part of their coaching staff.

The Kerala Super League (KSL), the state football league of Kerala, is scheduled to begin play in September. It will be the newest addition to the already attractive football scene in Kerala. The Kerala Football Association and United Football Sports Development Pvt. Ltd. will oversee the league's management.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode, and the Sports Council Stadium in Manjeri are the three different venues where the league, which has six clubs in its first season, will have its games.

Together with four international players, the teams may include seven Indian players. The Kerala Super League will be aired nationally on Star Sports as well as Disney+ Hotstar, two massive broadcasting companies. The league will be unique for a number of reasons.

The league's inaugural season, which is set to begin in early September, will feature the following six franchises: Kannur Squad FC, Kochi Pipers FC, Thrissur Roar FC, Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC, Calicut FC, and Malappuram FC.

Fabrizio Romano reveals new Chelsea departure

An unexpected possible Chelsea departure has been identified by Fabrizio Romano. The player joined the team last summer and has only been there for a year. It was only just over three weeks ago that we learned Chelsea would not be exploring this department during the summer, so this is a rather weird situation.

Even though they are reportedly content with Robert Sanchez as well as Djordje Petrovic, they appear to be looking for new goalkeepers right now. However, according to Fabrizio Romano and others, Petrovic may be leaving the team as a result of Chelsea's reported approach for Villarreal keeper Filip Jörgensen.
