'When you..' Ruben Amorim talks about the heated altercations between Rasmus Hojlund and Diallo

Ruben Amorim stands firmly behind the tense exchange that occurred between Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo following Manchester United's Europa League match against Viktoria Plzen. 

Hojlund made the most impact by coming off the bench on Thursday night to score a brace, leading United to a comeback victory and marking their first European away win in 20 months.

Hojlund saved the day for United 

The Danish forward delivered an impressive cameo that earned him praise from Amorim in the post-match interview. In addition to highlighting his strong performance, Amorim also addressed the heated exchange that took place between Hojlund and Amad Diallo at the end of the match.

At the Doosan Arena, the 21-year-old had a great opportunity to secure a hat-trick, but unfortunately, Diallo was unable to make the cross in the final moments. As the referee, Marian Barbu, blew the final whistle, Hojlund was visibly frustrated with the missed chance.

“He is improving; he is more near the goal now. He knows better the movement he has to do. He could score more this evening. but he is scoring, working, and controlling the ball better.” Amorim said.

"Yes, and for me it’s perfect; we need to feel something," he said. In this moment, we need to feel something; if we need to fight each other, it’s like a family; for me, it’s a very, very good sign. We need to feel something, and that is important." he added.
