Manchester United was without Mason Mount due to a hamstring injury and sustained in the first half of their second Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion this season.

Mason Mount announced his return to Manchester United training on social media after joining the team on Monday. The 25-year-old midfielder was seen training with the squad at Carrington following the 7-0 victory over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup fourth round. This marked his third consecutive missed match due to a hamstring injury, which occurred when he was substituted at half-time during the Brighton and Hove Albion game.

Rasmus and Mount Back with the 'Madman'

Mount started his second consecutive game for United in the Premier League season, following his participation in the Community Shield against Manchester City. Erik ten Ten Hag confirmed that the former England international was 'progressing', and now he has returned to full training.

Mount took to his Instagram to post a picture showing him and Rasmus Hojlund smiling side-by-side during Wednesday's training session and captioned it post, "Back with the madman." His teammate commented on his post : "Enjoying being out there with u masi," along with the red heart and face blowing a kiss emojis. It was reported by Sky Sports on Wednesday night that the duo has returned to training.

More options for Ten Hag

Their return will provide a much-needed boost as it gives Ten Hag more options in attack. Hojlund will be eager to make an impact and contribute goals, while Mount will be looking to carve out a defined role in the team. Both players will need to work hard to earn their place in the starting line-up.
