Gunther chants Hala Madrid
Spanish city Barcelona hosted a special WWE Smackdown event on Friday, March 14th. The WWE event attracted a lively crowd that included Barcelona football club's teen sensation Lamine Yamal.
During the event, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, took the stage to engage with the audience in the stands. He was well aware of the fact that most of the attendees in the crowd were stern supporters of the Catalan club.
The episode, although part of the blue brand, included an exhibition match featuring Raw’s World Champion Gunther. His opponent was Axiom, a wrestler from Spain.
Gunther trolled Barcelona fans with Madrid chants
The WWE champion tried to instigate the spectators by mocking them with Hala Madrid chants. He revealed that he was happy to be in Spain but the fact that the event was hosted in Barcelona instead of Madrid is what disappointed him. While he shouted 'Hala Madrid', football club Barcelona stars Lamine Yamal, Hector Fort, and Alejandro Balde were present in the crowd.

"I had just one regret. I wish we would be in Madrid instead," Gunther said in the ring.
Real Madrid and Barcelona's football rivalry is one of the most popular sporting rivalries globally. Termed 'El-Classico,' the two clubs fiercely compete against each other for the crown in both domestic and club competitions. Real Madrid had won 35 La Liga titles and 15 UEFA Champions League titles in comparison to their arch-rivals Barcelona, who have 27 La Liga titles and five UEFA Champions League titles to their name. This season, Barcelona has had the better of Real Madrid on two occasions so far. Barçelona defeated Real Madrid in the La Liga fixture 4-0. They also defeated them in the finals of the Supercopa de Espana 5-2.
