The reigning champions of La Liga, FC Barcelona, were spotted training ahead of their final season fixture against Athletic Club. A funny video surfaced from the training sessions featuring Robert Lewandowski and Wojciech Szczesny.
The Catalans will look to score their 100th goal of the 2024-25 La Liga season. The champions will look to cap off a dream season with a victory.
Wojciech Szczesny punched Robert Lewandowski during training sessions
During the training session, footage of Wojciech Szczęsny punching teammate Robert Lewandowski went viral on social media.
From what can be seen in the video, the goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, approached striker Robert Lewandowski and appeared to punch him in the face. Robert Lewandowski sold the goalkeeper move by dramatically falling on the ground. The striker then got up on his feet and appeared to attack Szczesny but the goalkeeper responded with kicks of his own. It is reported that both players acted out their moves in a playful banter. None of the players were injured in the course of the play.
Hansi Flick led the resurgence of the Catalan giants this season. FC Barcelona claimed the domestic treble by winning La Liga, the Copa Del Rey, and the Supercopa de España. The team also reached the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2019. In addition, the Catalans also remained unbeaten in all El Clásicos this season.
Robert Lewandowski will be hoping to score his 100th goal for FC Barcelona in the last game of the season. He currently stands second on the list of highest goal scorers in La Liga. Wojciech Szczesny has been offered a fresh new contract, but he is yet to make a decision on his future with the club.
