The reigning La Liga Champions FC Barcelona's captain Raphinha, is set to extend his stay at the Catalan club after his team's historic domestic treble this season. FC Barcelona has bagged La Liga, Super Copa De España, and Copa Del Rey Cups this season.
FC Barcelona's captain, Raphinha, has been a key contributor to the club's resurgence this season. He is also touted to be one of the favourites for winning the Ballon d'Or this season.
Raphinha's contract extended till 2028
As per the reports from football pundit Fabrizio Romano, FC Barcelona and Raphinha have come to an agreement to extend his contract with the club. The La Liga giants are highly pleased with their current squad and management as they prepare for additional contract extensions in the days ahead. The announcement regarding the Brazilian deal is anticipated in the upcoming weeks.
Raphinha endured a very traumatic last two seasons at the Catalan club and was even on the verge of leaving the club at the start of the season. However, Hansi Flick transformed Raphinha into a literal beast this season. The Brazilian has recorded 60 goal contributions this season, having netted 34 goals and 26 assists. As per reports, FC Barcelona have extended Raphinha's contract for three more years till 2028. The club is also set to offer contract renewals to Hansi Flick and other players.
Following Raphinha's contract renewal, FC Barcelona is set to renew the contract of their young sensation, Lamine Yamal, once he turns 18. FC Barcelona will end their 2024-25 season with an away fixture at San Mames against the Athletic Club on May 25th. The Catalans will be back in action only next season as they are not participating in the FIFA World Cup.
